Business focus

Japan Georgia Trading Corporation focuses on bringing Georgian wine and premium food products into Japan through practical, document-ready B2B channels.

This page explains how the Japan side works so Georgian producers and exporters can understand what buyers will need before a product can be evaluated seriously.

Our first priority is not short-term spot sales. We aim to build a reliable operating base where Georgian producers, Japanese buyers, and both country-side entities can trade with clear product information, realistic logistics, and appropriate compliance review.

What JGTC does in Japan

Import and wholesale context

We import and wholesale Georgian wine, honey and tea, with spirits as a future category. We import finished, packaged goods only, so labeling, storage, records, and sales operations remain manageable. For alcohol, we are putting in place the licensing and sales-management framework Japan requires.

Japanese buyer channels include restaurants, wine bars, wine specialists, cafes, specialty food retailers, hotels, gift businesses, and wholesalers. For suppliers, this means product information must be specific enough for those buyers to judge use case, price, lot size, shelf life, and operational risk.

Product proposals

We prepare product explanations around intended use, buyer type, lot size, price range, required documents, labeling requirements, and practical sales use.

For restaurants and retailers, we focus on use cases such as by-the-glass programs, pairings, menu features, gift sets, tasting events, and small test launches.

Coordination with Georgian producers

Through our Georgia-side sister company, we coordinate producer communication, catalogs, export pricing, quality documents, packaging details, and export conditions.

Japan-market buyers need more than a product story. They also need product specifications, labeling information, storage conditions, shelf life, lot control, and commercial clarity. We organize that information into a form Japanese buyers can evaluate.

Events, e-commerce, and future bridge activity

Events and e-commerce are secondary channels for awareness, tasting opportunities, and B2B lead generation. Support for Japanese businesses looking at Georgia is exploratory: we take individual consultations, but it is not yet an established service.

For now, the priority is to build a trusted import and wholesale foundation around Georgian wine and related premium food categories.
