Basic policy
Japan Georgia Trading Corporation uses a conservative operating model suited to an early-stage trading company.
At the first stage, we prioritize finished packaged goods prepared in Georgia and avoid manufacturing, processing, or repacking in Japan. This keeps product checks, labeling review, storage, and sales records simple enough to manage reliably.
For suppliers, this means packaging, label data, shelf life, storage conditions, and export documents should be prepared early. Products that require unclear repacking, relabeling, or processing after arrival in Japan are harder to evaluate at launch stage.
Food and alcohol handling
Our Japan-side operations are organized around food business notification and HACCP-based hygiene management, both of which are in place. For alcohol, we are putting in place the licensing and sales-management framework Japan requires; our alcohol sales manager training has been completed.
For each product, we review packaging condition, label information, shelf life, lot details, storage conditions, and visible damage or contamination risk. For alcohol products, we will also review alcohol labeling, storage conditions, age-verification requirements, and sales records.
Details of notifications, licensing, and operating controls can be shared within the necessary scope during commercial due diligence and contract discussions.

Labeling and documents
Before sale, we confirm required food and alcohol labeling items according to product category. This may include ingredients, net quantity, shelf life, storage method, country of origin, importer information, nutrition facts, alcohol type, alcohol percentage, and bottle volume.
Labeling and packaging choices directly affect import feasibility and market use. We therefore request product specifications, ingredients, shelf life, storage conditions, export documents, and label files early in the review process.
Storage and records
Storage conditions are reviewed by product type. Honey generally requires room-temperature storage away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. Tea requires sealed storage away from moisture and odor transfer. Wine requires attention to temperature, light, and vibration.
Import and sales records are kept so product movement and buyer inquiries can be checked later.
